About Prints
Types of Prints
There are 3 basic types of prints: 1. Lustre Photo Paper - archival-quality, professional-grade finish. This semi-gloss finish offers vibrant colors and excellent resistance to fingerprints. 2. Canvas Photo Prints - these are hand wrapped around a solid wood base frame, giving the canvas a firm, unyielding surface that won't flex or dent under weight on museum-grade canvas with a UV protective coating for lasting color and durability. Canvas prints can also be framed with a shadowbox frame in a variety of colors. This gives a canvas print a more elegant appearance. 3. Aluminum Photo Prints - These are created by sublimating an image onto a white-coated Aluminum sheet that is 1.14mm thick, resulting in an image with bright whites, a wide range of colors, and a Glossy finishing. A note about print types: Photo paper is the lease expensive type of print, but requires matting and/or framing (the prints are not shipped with mats of frames), which adds more expense. Canvas and aluminum prints are shipped, ready to hang, but are more expensive. Aluminum prints are the most vivid of the three, but also the most expensive. The tables below show standard print sizes. Custom sizes are available on request.
Limited Edition Prints
Limited Edition Prints are reproductions in a fixed numbered quantity. Each print is numbered and signed by the photographer. Printing of a limited edition is stopped once the quantity cap is reached.
Open Edition Prints
Open Edition Prints are not limited by the number produced and are not numbered. Open edition prints are less expensive than limited edition prints.
Certificate of Authenticity
A Certificate of Authenticity (COA) provides additional information about the photograph, such as the dimensions of the print, the edition number, year of printing, and year that the photograph was taken. The COA is signed and dated by the photographer. A COA is available upon request.
